I use dry shampoo all the time. I have very oily hair and try to shampoo my hair every other day. A little dry shampoo gets me through that second day.
Dry shampoo typically uses some type of starch to soak up oils from your scalp. They also contain an aromatic or scentless freshener as well. Most dry shampoos come in an aerosol can or powder but different brands are branching out.
I found this Drybar Dry Shampoo Foam at Nordstrom Rack in a Set with another Drybar product. It normally retails for $24 on Nordstrom. I got it in a set for $10 so I figured $5 wasn’t bad.
It’s suppposed to absorb oils and dry instantly. Contains volcanic ash that atttracts dirt and debris like a magnet. Plant proteins help strengthen strands to prevent breakage while B5 vitamins adds slips and manageability to reduce frizz. Scented with coconut, vanilla, and Amber.
This stuff smells fantastic. Like vanilla perfume. Delicious. Really refreshes your hair. But that’s all it did. It did not decrease oily hair at all. I would not repurchase.
