There is no airport hotel attached to the SFO airport. There are some nap rooms you can rent but not an actual hotel within the airport. I like the ease of rolling out of bed and just walking straight into the terminal, but that’s not an option at the San Francisco airport.
The Marriott Waterfront Hotel is a five minute shuttle from the airport. Stops to different terminal which may add more time. But overall, it’s just a quick ride.
The shuttle comes every 15-20 minutes during peak hours. Simply follow the signs to hotel shuttles and wait for your bus. Easy peasy.
Check-in was quick and easy. I do have to note that Gold Status holders no longer have lounge access. That is now only for Platinum status holders. Disappointing but what can I do.
I received my room key and quickly made it to my room. The room was average size with all the necessities. The bed was comfortable with nice sheets.
The bathroom was also fine. Enough space for all your toiletries. The shower was pathetic. No pressure at all. Disappointing.
I also had a chance to grab some food in the lounge bar. There is also a restaurant but it was closed while I was there. The prices are high but you are in San Francisco. The cocktails were good as was the food I ordered. At least if you spend a lot it’s yummy!
Walked out the door in the morning and hopped on the shuttle. Arrived back at the airport in 5 minutes. This hotel averages $150-$300 per night. Out of season I usually get this for $150. It’s clean and comfortable with enough space. I would stay here again.
