A last minute work trip to Boston required a last minute hotel during a big medical conference. Majority of hotels were sold out and we finally found a $700 rate at the Courtyard Marriott. This three star hotel is located a mile and a half from the Logan Airport. And yes, we paid $700 for a hotel that’s usually $100 a night. Ugh make me sick. But let’s try and get a fair review here.
Upon landing at the airport, I found the designated pick up area and called the hotel to request the complimentary shuttle. The shuttle arrived about five minutes later. A quick few minutes and I arrived at the hotel.
Check in was smooth. Got my room keys and headed up. There’s a fireplace in the lobby and a restaurant with limited hours. There’s also a fitness area.
My room ended up being a two bedroom suite. It softened the cost slightly. It ha a big living room with a desk, couch, table and chairs and a small mini kitchenette. The separate bedroom was large and spacious. The bathroom was fairly big with all the basic necessities. The view overlooked the airport and a residential area and parking lot. Nothing really worth seeing.
The bed was super comfy. Pillows were a bit firm but sheets were soft. Shower had great pressure but got clogged so you stand in your dirty water.
Had dinner at the restaurant. They had a nice variety menu. Got margaritas and a bowl of New England clam chowder. Delicious.
Pickup in the morning was easy. Just wait for next shuttle and go. Made it to airport in five minutes.
Great convenient hotel near airport. But try and find a better rate!
