We spent one night in Amman and stayed at the Four Seasons. I really wish we got to stay here another night.
The hotel is located in the residential area of Abdoun which is quite prestigious, right next to the financial district. We thought this hotel was in the city center and it is not. While it is very pretty, it’s not walking distance to the historic sites and old town. It’s about 30 minutes to the airport and another 15- 20 into the historic center.
Once again we had to go through security to enter hotel. Metal detectors are everywhere in the Middle East. The lobby area is quite big with the front desk set off to the left a bit.
The lobby itself was modern and classically decorated. Check in was smooth and easy. We booked this hotel separately through American Express Fine Resorts and Hotels. When you book with the program, you get several perks which include room upgrade and $100 dining credit as well as breakfast for two.
Our room was quite large but no views. Well, views of parking lot construction. But it was still very quiet in here. The beds were super plush and comfortable with large spacious bathroom with great shower pressure. I loved the bed!
Dinner at the restaurant was excellent as well as breakfast the next morning. We tried some local Mediterranean dishes, all delicious. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of fruits, cereals, local dishes. pastries, fresh eggs and juices. All nicely presented.
There is a spa, pool and gym but we did not have time to check them out.
We ended up paying $375 for this room that included our dinner. It was so comfortable and clean but the location would really hamper any one wanting to be closer to the Old Town. So take that into consideration. But the hotel is beautiful, clean and ultra comfy so maybe that’s a better selling point!
