Stroke of Beauty is a cosmetics line by Holly Mordini, the former creative director for Smashbox. The line only consists of about twenty products. Stroke of Beauty started out at QVC but switched over to Evine pretty quick.
Skinfinish Comcealer is designed to mimic the look of young natural skin. Big claim. The product is designed with a low wax structure and lightweight pigments to create smooth application and a lightweight finish.
This comes packaged in a compact with flip up top. On Evine this retails for $26 alone or $29 with a concealer brush. Comes is light, medium, tan and rich.
So what did I think? It’s pretty good. It’s very lightweight. Almost thin. But I can layer enough to cover undereye circles without this settling into fine lines.
I originally ordered the medium which is a little light for my nc30 light olive complexion. So i ordered the tan as well. Which is a little too dark. That’s kinda annoying to not find a perfect match.
There’s a lot of product here but I worry a flip top compact might dry out. I’ve had mine for well over a year and it still looks good though.
The brush is top quality. I’m just not sure I love it for concealer. I normally use a flat brush for undereye concealer. This brush is a little stiff for the undereye, but the pointy tip gets right under the lash line.
Overall, I like this concealer. The better option is to get it with the brush and wait until it goes on sale. Whenever it airs, it usually gets marked down to about $23 plus shipping.
