This kit is Sephora’s latest lip kit in all nude shades. Sephora has been releasing these mini lip kits for the past few years in different color combinations. They usually consist of five piece: some minis with a full size lip product thrown in. There’s been some nude kits, some pinks, reds and some variety kits. They also consist of different formulas, glosses, lipsticks, matte etc. I’ve grabbed most of them as I love minis!
Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip is the latest release for Fall 2018. Consists of three minis and two full size lippies this time.
-Full size Stila Stay All Day Lipstick in Carmello, pale milky nude hint of pink. Formula is long wearing and lasts all day. This is one of my favorite long wear lipsticks. It lasts all day without being as drying or tacky as some brands. It’s still drying but not as bad as old formulas used to be. But the color really washes me out.
-Full size Huda Beauty matte lipstick in Trendsetter, matte red brownie. It’s not nude at all in my opinion. Lots of color. This is supposed to last all day but it’s more like a regular matte lipstick. It does not last through a meal. Not too tacky and lasts for a few hours.
-Mini Buxom Lip Polish in Dolly shiny nude rose with tingly lip plumpers. Pretty color but has some type of mint in there that makes lips tingle. Gloss consistency. Wears off in a couple of hours.
-Mini Make Up Forever Artist Liquid Matte Lipstick in 105, greyed nude. Another matte stay all day lipstick. Does last all day without being too tacky or heavy. No scent.
-Mini Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Hydrating Color Splash Lipstick in Beach Babe, pale milky nude. Smooth lipstick, very pigmented, no scent. Just a bad shade.
The colors described are on my hand from left to right starting with the Stila on the far left.
The majority of the colors have been released in other kits I have. The Stila Carmello comes in several of the Stila nude sets. The Huda comes in a lip kit and was a deluxe sample with the beauty box subscription, and I think I’ve seen two others as well. So check your stash, you may have these.
The Stila and Tarte are all those milky pale shades that make me look dead. Not flattering at all. Same with the Make Up Forever, the grey undertones are awful. The only one I liked was the Huda. Really unique color, but I already have it. None of the colors really had an offensive smell although in the tube, the Huda smells slightly chemical.
The kit retails for $28, which is a great price for two full sizes considering the Stila retails for $22 alone. I’m returning mine as three of the five colors are living dead look for me. And I have the Huda trendsetter already. So consider all this if you are thinking about picking this kit up.
